You’ve been feeling stuck. Deep down you have this vision God has planted in your heart of where you can be. But you are not seeing any breakthrough. As you learn to quiet down all the noises, you begin to His still small voice giving you the reason why you are progressing into your Promised Land. Then you hear Him say,

“This next season of your life is going to require undivided attention, incredible focus, and higher discipline to enter.”

The next season requires a new spirit. God needs you to have the spiritual discipline, renewal of mind, and better habits so that the coming blessing will not crush you. And often God removes people out of your life in this season so you can focus deeply on building.

Do you know that some comes not to add to your live. They’re sent to distract, delay and drain your energy. The Devil prowls like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. He knows your type too; the sabotage can be disguised as romance to derail you from believing in your worth as a daughter of the King.

God Sent vs Distractions

We need be discerning. God-sent people and opportunities draw you closer to Him and His plans. Distractions lead you away from your spiritual path and dulls your mission. When we get careless to what we say yes to, it can cost our voice, fire and future.

when it is God-Sent:

  • Alignment with God's will: fit within your life's purpose

  • Spiritual growth: foster deeper faith, love, and compassion to God and others.

  • Guidance and direction: Experiences that clarify God's path for you, even if they are unexpected or challenging.

  • Increased peace and joy: A sense of calm and fulfillment that comes from aligning with God's will.

  • Opportunities for service: Moments where you are uniquely positioned to help others and fulfill God's call to love.

when it is Distraction:

  • Diverts from God's will: Experiences or thoughts that pull you to sin and away from your spiritual goals and commitments.

  • Spiritual harm: Moments that lead to negative emotions, harmful behaviors, or a weakening of your faith.

  • Chaos and confusion: A sense of being pulled in multiple directions, making it difficult to discern God's leading.

  • Erosion of peace and joy: Feelings of anxiety, frustration, or emptiness that result from being off course.

  • Hindrance to spiritual growth: Obstacles that prevent you from developing a closer relationship with God.

  • Deception: Spiritual warfare designed to distract you from God's purpose.

The counterfeits will come because when you align yourself with God’s purpose in your life, you become a threat to the kingdom of darkness. Do not let loneliness make you go to what muzzle your voice and take you off course. God will delay a marriage if it will destroy His calling for yor-.

He says,

My Child, I am not punishing you, I am protecting you from the counterfeit. I am preparing you to enter a season you have been praying for and you long for. Trust that in your obedience to me, I will full the desires you have. But now you need to get to work because I am preparing you to step into the things I’ve put in your heart.

  • What are distractions you are holding on that you need to let go?

  • What are new mindsets and habits you need to discipline yoruself to prepare for the dreams in you?

  • Where do you need to obey?

Obedience is God’s love language.

When we delay obeying what God wills for us, it is still disobedience. In obedience, clarity follows. Right now, God is asking you to prepare to step into Your calling, but in His way and in His timing. Marriage might be His will for you. But it has be with the one He sends in His timing. Opening a business might be the legacy He puts in your heart. But you cannot just build with any business partner available to you.

In the story of Samson, he disobeyed by laying down with Delilah. He lost his strength and got killed.

In the story of Abraham and Sarah, they were impatient and laid with Hagar. They birthed an Ishmael.

Favor and blessing come when we align ourselves with God’s will

You got to be in position to receive what God will send. -And you position yourself best when you obey what God has said.

I’ve felt a very strong calling from God to be a preacher lately. At this time, I had led a Bible Study for 4 months and I loved preparing for the Word. I always wanted to be a preacher but felt I had strayed in my lifestyle. So from last year, God calls me to let go of partying and drinking. It was that my next level of ministry of being in pulpits require me to live a life 100% all in for the Lord. For some, the meaasures of your faith does not require you to cut those and it is okay. For me, I know I had to because I know the Lord does not want me to be a stumbling block. To be fully pure then. To be fully holy so that i can lead His people to Him—not astray. As I was just starting to commit to this path, temptations come. This guy I like wanted me to be his girlfriend. But I knew being with Him means compromising my values and leads me to unrighteousness. This bar I love asked to do a bar takeover for charity. But I know being associated with it won’t be the path I am being called to.

So I had to say a hard ‘no’. Because I had to practice what I preach. And entertaining those things would make me miss my bus. It will lead me back into confusion and delays to being used by God to be a preacher ( I had this vision since I was in Senior High School). The moment God put in my heart to do that, He gave me the opportunity that my chuch has this preacher in training course. And almost daily I practice in front of the mirror just preaching and continue to download His wisdom through studies. We’ll see what comes.

My friends, be obedient and patient in the waiting. Continue pressing into the discipline of saying ‘yes’ to the things that are God-sent. And 'have the discernment and strength to say ‘no’ to the things that are a distraction and are from the Enemy.

Dont miss the bus. Because God misses using you to bless His people.
